More than 70% of our bodies are made up of water, yet we tend to forget how much water we use. <strong>quality for health<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Water is the basis of life. Our bodies are made up of over 70% water, yet we tend to forget the role it plays in our daily wellbeing, energy levels and long-term health. Proper water consumption is not just about, <strong>how much<\/strong> but it is just as important to drink, <strong>what quality<\/strong> we put water into our bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why is water essential?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Water is involved in almost every bodily process. It helps to transport nutrients, supports metabolism, helps regulate body temperature and plays a role in the excretion of waste products. If we don't drink enough, these processes can slow down, leading to fatigue, loss of concentration or general malaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The feeling of thirst is often already <strong>first sign of dehydration<\/strong>, so it's a good idea to consciously replenish fluids evenly throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How much water do we need per day?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ideal amount of water varies from person to person, depending on age, body weight, activity level and environmental influences. As a general guide, daily fluid intake should be around <strong>2-2,5 litres<\/strong> which a significant part of it is clean drinking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's important to remember that coffee, sugary drinks or alcohol are not a substitute for water - in fact, in some cases they can even increase fluid loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Water quality is just as important<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many people drink tap water or bottled water without thinking, even though the quality of the water can vary considerably.
